PAROS (a surfers' paradise)

Famous world-wide among fans of water sports, especially windsurfing enthusiasts, it also offers a variety of vacation possibilities to suit every taste. Although a laid-back island with small churches and monasteries, picturesque white villages and old monuments, it retains a cosmopolitan ambience and offers a rich cultural life. You can get there from Athens by plane (45 minutes), normal ferry (about 5.5 hours) or fast boat (about 3 hours).
